Dr. R. Joshua Cesaire's Biography

R. Joshua Cesaire

Dr. Cesaire, a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti; fourth (4th) of seven (7) siblings grew up in Port-au-Prince Haiti and moved to Philadelphia Pennsylvania after finishing High-School. He studied Religion/French at Andrews University, Berrien Springs Michigan. He then received his Master of Divinity from Andrews Theological Seminary and his Doctoral degree from Universal Ministry Theological Seminary, Milford Illinois. He also holds numerous certificates in French Interpretation, Finance & Economics, Stress Management, Chaplaincy, Christian Abuse Response and Clinical Pastoral Education. Before founding and becoming president of Oasis International University, he worked as the Chief Executive Officer of Oasis L.I.F.E., a ministry he founded and started in 2003 with the mission to serve the most vulnerable in our society the best way possible.

 

Over the years, Cesaire helped church leaders to be proactive in their congregations and the communities in which they lived by meeting people where they were and serving them the best way they could. He Conducted research and analysis for new ways to help the communities; churches, families and individuals; project management (needs assessment, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and project sustainability); education and training (workforce, community, entrepreneurial, informal and formal education); curriculum development.

He worked for the Berrien County, Michigan and School District of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania as a teacher. He conducted workshops and participated in other activities to further educational program, prepared course objectives and outline for course of study, followed curriculum guidelines and requirements of state and school, prepared, administered and corrected tests, recorded results, assigned lessons, corrected papers and listened to oral presentations, counseled pupils when academic adjustment and problems arose.

 

As he and his team establishing this Oasis International University, he is also involved in church planting. Following his dream as a minister of the Gospel, He worked as Intern Pastor at Mount Zion Seventh day Adventist Church, in Delaware, implemented the concept of church growth through Holistic Small Groups. Worked as Interim Pastor at United Missionary Church in Pennsylvania and as a Senior Pastor, provided pastoral care and ministerial development to several congregations at the Georgia Cumberland Conference in Calhoun Georgia.

 

He is an international and a sought after speaker and lecturer on many important subjects related to youth and general public in North-America, the Caribbean and Europe. He helped start programs for the youth and young adults and held several positions such as: Youth Director, Pathfinder Director, Personal Ministry Secretary, Sabbath School Deputy Superintendent and chaired several committees.

Last but not least, he is married to Nelly and has six beautiful kids: Jessica, Jaelle, R. Joshua Jr., Caleb, Noah and Naomi.
